Dr. Vinoth Kumar Raja Receives Jal Shakti Award 2025 for Innovative Contributions toward Water-Related Challenges, 2026

On the occasion of World Water Day (23 March 2026), Dr. Vinoth Kumar Raja was honoured with the Jal Shakti Hackathon Award 2025. He received this recognition, along with a cash prize of ₹1 lakh for his Proof of Concept on Indigenous Low-Cost Ceramic Tubular Membranes for Decentralized Sewage Wastewater Treatment. The award was presented by Shri Kantha Rao, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Jal Shakti, in the august presence of Hon’ble Union Minister of Jal Shakti, Shri C. R. Patil, Shri V. Somanna, Minister of State, Shri Raj Bhushan Choudhary, Minister of State, Dr. N. Kalaiselvi, Director General and Secretary, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, and Shri Ashok K. K. Meena, IAS, Secretary, Department of Water Supply and Sanitation.
